In his 24-game senior year, Kennedy had over 15 rebounds in 10 games and 20 or more three times; he had no games with less than 10 rebounds. He had 2 or more blocked shots in 6 games. Caleb scored 20 or more points in 15 games and over 30 points in 3 games; he scored less than 15 in just 3 games. He also hit at least 1 three-pointer in 8 games. Kennedy's efforts earned him Indiana Basketball Coaches’ Association All-State Honorable Mention in 2008. He was also ranked in Indiana's Top 75 by the Rick Bolus Basketball Recruiting Service, and was one of the Hoosier Basketball Magazine Top 60 Workout Players. He was also the Indianapolis Star All-Metro East Player of the Year and Greenfield Daily Reporter All-Hancock County Player of the Year the past two years. Coach Aaron Spaulding noted, "We had two Indiana All-Stars at Warren Central when I was an assistant there. Both big men. But Caleb is the best rebounder I've ever coached. Every defense we went up against was designed to stop him, and he still averaged 21 points a game." |
