After a healthy increase in the Forester roster last year, a smaller increase was expected this year and that's what we got. The Foresters will suit up 12 players for the games, and have one redshirt on the roster for a change this season.

After being named 2005-06 MCC Newcomer of the Year, Kyle suffered through several injuries his sophomore year. As a junior, he joined the 1,000 Point Club at HU and was named an All-MCC Conference player.

Benge averaged 13.7 points, 2.8 assists and 1.6 rebounds last season with a solid 1.32 assist/turnover ratio. He shot 45.7% from the field and 82.0% at the line; he had 6 games of 20 points or more last year.

Kyle is now #31 on the all-time scoring list at HU with one full season to go. He will likely end up in the top twenty on that list.

This summer, Kyle worked out and played some basketball. As one of the co-captains on the squad this season, he wants his senior year to be something special. He knows the team has a good chance of being in the hunt for another MCC title – if only everyone could stay healthy for a change.

Majoring in Elementary Education, Kyle will be doing his student teaching this year.

Geoff had a busy summer, not only working for the Plymouth Park Department (mowing and grounds-keeping), but also playing, coaching and refereeing basketball games (not all at the same time, of course).

Scheetz expects the team to have a great year. He predicts that most things will stay the same with the new coaching staff, but then adds, "I'm sure Coach Ty will have some different stuff for us, too."

Last season, Geoff appeared in 11 games, shooting 53.3% from the field and 51.7% beyond the old three-point line. He has 69 career points at HU now. Geoff expects HU to compete for the MCC Conference title but adds, "The entire MCC Conference will be tough throughout, as it always is."

Kyle Johnson spent his summer working in the Aldi warehouse in Greenwood. He also found time to play some basketball in Whiteland and at the Indianapolis YMCA.

It wasn't all work, as he went to Chicago on a Wrigley Field tour and a Cubs game, went to Kings Island and attended a Tom Petty concert. He says, "It rocked!" Somewhere in the mix, the family got a new puppy and named it Wrigley. Go Cubs!

Johnson saw more playing time last season than in the previous two years combined. He's chalked up 35 points now and shot 75% at the line last season. He expects a smooth transition with the new coaching staff and predicts, "We will end the season with a big winning streak." Go Foresters!

Kyle is glad to be back on campus. Not wanting to jinx himself, he wouldn't say what classes will be the toughest or easiest this year. "They will all be tough," he says.

Bobby Jolliff is new to the roster in 2008. Jolliff graduated from Hauser HS (Hope, IN) in 2006, recording a triple-double in the 1A State Championship game. He then went on to Eastern Illinois University.

However, after two losing seasons at EIU (10-20 and 7-22) and seeing several other players leave the program during that time, he decided to make a change himself.

Coach Ty Platt contacted him at home and invited him to see HU. Bobby says, "When I went to visit, I found I fit in real well with all the guys and I knew I'd be joining a school that is known for winning."

In the final game of his high school career, Jolliff set three Championship game records (15 rebounds, 6 steals and 11 blocks). He received All-State High Honorable Mention, was named a Top 40 Workout player, a North/South All-Star Classic player, and an East/West All-Star player in 2006.

Jolliff will make a great addition to the team, adding size and experience. He's majoring in Business Management at HU.
